Dinner At Buca

Buca Di Beppo is an Italian restaurant located near the Freighthouse Shops in Station Square. The sign above the entance is a good indication of the atmosphere inside.

It reminded me very much of Mama Leone's in New York city with its muli-floor layout and walls littered with pictures and statues.

Some of those statues were quite, shall I say, interesting...

But let's face it, Italian restaurants are all about food. The food there is served family style. A small serving provided enough for all three of us.

The baked ravioli were delicious.

Dessert was a luscious tiramisu.

Just look at the size of that rum soaked beauty!

J. J. The Wonder Dog!

J. J. has been living with us for over a week now, and he's managed to win everyone's heart. He's such a cute little ball of fluff. He makes you want to hug him all day!

This would be Mike and myself giving him his daily hugs.

But sometimes he just wants to lie around an act silly, as is illustrated here...

Playing dead, J. J.?

What A Little Faith Can Do

These award winning gardens located at Pradhupadha's Palace of Gold in West Virginia offer evidence of what wonders a little bit of faith can do, no matter what name you give to your god.

What makes these gardens even more amazing is the fact that they receive all of their care from a single woman!

The Rainforest Café

A visit to The Rainforest Café is not just a meal, it's an adventure. Let's start outside the door and see what happens first.

Cha-Cha peeeks out from behind a sign displaying some of the tasty treats offered inside.

When you venture inside, you discover that the restaurant is decorated to look like a rainforest.

This nasty looking croc is one of the first critters to greet you!

You find a guide and register for your "safari."

When your safari is ready to depart, the first thing that the guide does is take your picture.

This is Andrea ad me before we departed on our safari.

Our guide led us deep into the rainforest to our table.

This statue of Atlas was lurking behind our table.

We were served fruity drinks in light-up glasses and a sumptuous lunch while this butterfly flapped its wings near the table across from ours...

I only wish that we had saved enough room for a volcano dessert!

The Fantasea Reef

Let's face it, I love buffets. When you add an interesting atmosphere to one, that makes it even better. Such is the case with the Fantasea Reef Buffet at Harrah's.

The walls are decorated to give the restaurant an undersea appearance.

This cute dolphin watches over the condiments on the table.

And, lest I forget, live tropical fish are also a part of the decór!

Did I mention that the food was great, too?
