Favorite 5 Fotos

It's the end of the month, time once again to participate in Shirl's photo meme...

Red roses in my mom's garden, photographed at night

At The End Of The Day"

"Three Fish Dancing"

OK, those two are all of my "Schenkerism" photos. I've yet to find an aardvark in a VW smoking a cigar...

Retro Ads

The thing that impressed me the most on my trip to the Washington County Trolley Museum a few weeks ago was not the trolleys themselves. I was more amused by the replica ads hanging insiode them.

This one really brought back memories to this child of "The Cold War!"

"The world is closing in
And did you ever think
That we could be so close
Like brothers?"

Then there was this WW II era ad...

Of course, there were some non-political ads as well...

I don't know about you, but I'm craving a reuben sandwich now!

But even the product ads from the WW II era had a bit of political flavor...

Hershey Park

We all know that Gary Puckett was at Hershey Park, but what else was there?

The park as seen from Hershey Gardens

The Kissing Tower

A view from atop The Kissing Tower

The Music Express as seen while stuck at the top of the Ferris Wheel. ARGH!

Of course, it wouldn't be a park without a carosel...

The Good Zoo

Is a very good zoo, indeed!

Here are some photos from the zoo, which is located in Oglebay Park in Wheeling, West Virginia.

Since it is the Good Zoo, I've added some very BAD captions to the photos.

How much is that meercat in the window?

Kangaroo Jack, next month's Playgirl centerfold!

Fish heads! Fish heads! Eat them up, yum!

Say, WHAT?!

Let sleeping dogs lie...

Who are you? Who? Who?
