White Elephants

There was a white elephant sale at our church picnic today. I, for one, just could not resist picking up a few of those mysterious little treasures for myself.

This is what they looked like before I tore into their wrappings. The "C" on them means that they are children's items, but hey! I'm just a big kid inside!

And this is the treasure that I found within...

Never Ending Pasta Bowl

In case you hadn't guessed already, I love to take pictures of my food. Call me quirky if you like, but I think that it is fun.

Yesterday we had dinner at the Olive Garden.

The feature there this month is a favorite of mine, the never ending pasta bowl. If you play The Random Ten, then you've probably seen my first course, but there was more. It was a never ending pasta bowl, after all...

After that second bowl of pasta (angel hair with meat sauce), I felt quite stuffed. Fortunately, I had this to wash it down.

Mmmmm... Peach Bellini iced tea!

Now That's A Goldfish!

A few years back my son, Michael, won a little goldfish by playing a game at a local carnival. That goldfish is still alive and well and living at his grandma's house.

That is one gi-normous goldfish!

Kennywood Park

For the very first time in my life I took a camera into Kennywood. It's definitely not one of the most picturesque parks in the world, but I still had loads of fun getting these pictures...

This carosel horse fountain is located at the new park entrance.

This fountain and working floral clock are located near the park's train ride.

Did you know that Kennywood's carosel is also an historic landmark?

George Wahington led his troops in battle at the park's location during the French and Indian War.

Finally, we see The Thunderbolt, one of the top rated wooden roller coasters in the world.
