Christmastime At Wheeling Island

Although Thanksgiving has yet to arrive, Christmas decorations are popping up all over. Tomorrow is Light-up Night in Pittsburgh! But it seems that Light-up night has already passed at the Wheeling Island Casino. These are a few of the decorations that greeted us there last Saturday.

A Trip To Candyland

"Where is Candyland?" you ask. It is located in on PA Route 51 not too far from where I live. Its proper name is Gene And Boots. I visited there a few weeks ago. Now it's time to share the chocolatey goodness that I found there...

The sign indicates that we have arrived...

The exterior of the building resembles something from a fairy tale.

Inside are all sorts of goodies!

Mix your own M & Ms.

Buy a Ferrari for $5.95!

Or chow down on a handful of chocolate ladybugs!

I Think I See Ohio, Columbus!

Or perhaps I should say, "I think I see Columbus, Ohio."

No matter how I say it, these are a few shots os the city as seen from the car while stuck in a traffic jam last weekend on the way home from Cincinnati.

Spiders!

Yesterday was Halloween, so I thought I'd share some of the more interesting decorations that I saw this year. Spiders were very popular.

This is a real spider as seen as Ohiopyle State Park.

These are his friendlier and better looking counterparts...

This one was lurking in the trees on Highland St. in Monongahela.

And this one was found living on a window at my house.

EEEEEEEEEK!!!!
